I first got hooked on quick oatmeal cups when I bought the Purely Elizabeth oatmeal cups. These cups were easy to pack, quick to make, tasted delicious, and were a healthy alternative to other not-so-healthy quick breakfast options. After having the Purely Elizabeth oatmeal cups, I thought they seemed simple enough that I could probably attempt my own! My homemade oatmeal cups were just as delicious and simple as the store-bought ones! Here are some tips for preparing your own oatmeal cups:
One thing I love about these homemade oatmeal cups is that the options are endless when it comes to variety! I created a simple oatmeal base recipe that can have numerous different flavors added to it to spruce up your morning palette. For the purpose of time and space, I have narrowed down the many flavors to just seven different ones that I am going to share with you. I chose seven so that you would have one flavor for each day of the week if you so desired (although I do recommend switching up your breakfast menu at least a little bit each week!).
The oatmeal cup base contains a few simple ingredients. The oats are gluten-free and contain good fiber. The flax seeds are also high in fiber and contain beneficial omega-3’s! Chia seeds are a good source of calcium and they are an anti-oxidant. Hemp seeds (my favorite seed) are a complete source of plant-based protein and contain the essential fatty acid, omega 6.
The optional coconut milk powder gives these homemade oatmeal cups a creamy consistency without using dairy! Collegian is also optional, but helps keep your bones and ligaments healthy.
Now let’s get onto the seven fun flavors that I have tried!
The carrot cake oatmeal cup is one of my top favorite flavors! It combines sweet carrots with the traditional spices of carrot cake for an amazing oatmeal experience! All of the ingredients can be prepared ahead of time so all you have to do in the morning is add water. These oatmeal cups do need to be stored in the fridge until you are ready to make them because they have carrot in them.

Another favorite oatmeal cup flavor of mine was the caramel oatmeal cups! I love caramel! The only thing about this oatmeal cup flavor is that the caramel sauce has to be made up ahead of time. I used this coconut sugar caramel recipe to put in my oatmeal cup.
This pumpkin pie oatmeal cup tasted just like pumpkin pie! It had just the right amount of spices, the perfect pumpkin flavor with a hint of maple!
Whip up this Dairy-free Pumpkin Pie and compare your oatmeal to the pie, you won’t find much difference!
There’s nothing like having a warm oatmeal cookie for breakfast! That’s exactly what this oatmeal cup is like! I made up this oatmeal cookie oatmeal cup as a hardy snack when I knew I was going to have a later dinner. It was delicious and tided me over for a long time!
After you have this oatmeal cup, you going to want to my absolute favorite cookies of all time: Gluten-free Oatmeal Monster Cookies!
Calling all chocolate lover’s with this oatmeal cup recipe! When I had this oatmeal cup, it was like eating dessert for breakfast! Pretty much tasted like brownie batter! Simple, sweet, and sure to please….
Oatmeal that tastes like brownie batter is going to inspire you to make these nut free and grain-free brownies!
This banana split oatmeal cup does not look like you should have it for breakfast! It’s just as delicious as it looks but not quit as ‘unhealthy’ as it looks! I may have gotten a little carried away the toppings on my banana split!
I love how simple yet flavorful this blueberry cardamon oatmeal cup was to make and eat. The cardamon flavor shines through just enough without being too powerful. I had mine with fresh blueberries, which was delicious, but freeze-fried, dried, or frozen blueberries would work too! You could even chop up the blueberries if you wanted a more even blueberry flavor throughout the entire oatmeal.
These homemade gluten-free oatmeal cups make a great quick breakfast option that are healthy and delicious! I hope there are a few flavors that you can’t wait to try, and maybe you will come up with some of your own flavors too. My favorite flavors from these seven options were the carrot cake oatmeal cup and the caramel oatmeal cup. Enjoy these delicious gluten-free and dairy-free oatmeal cups!
